Emphasizes the knowledge and skills needed to meet the occupational completion point as an industrial machinery maintenance assistant. Includes safety rules and procedures, basic elements of physics as related to industrial machinery maintenance and repair, basic electricity and electronics, mathematical calculations, plans and drawings, measuring and layout operations, handtools, portable power tools, lubricants, benchwork skills, gas welding and cutting, rigging, conveyor maintenance, troubleshooting techniques, installation and removal of machinery, scientific investigation, and communication skills.
