Prerequisite(s): satisfactory completion of Developmental Writing II (ENC0025 ) and Developmental Reading II (REA0017 ), or appropriate placement scores.
A survey of primitive and nonindustrialized societies. Societies are grouped according to complexity of social organization. Special attention is given to ecological relationships, subsistence techniques and belief systems. (Global Gateway Program ) Lecture: 3 hours. Substantial writing component. Fulfills state writing requirement.
