NUR2251L Nursing Concepts IV Lab0 credit hour(s) Prerequisite(s): grade of C or better in NUR2260 , NUR2260L , NUR2241 , NUR2241L , NUR2244L , NUR2142 . Corequisite(s): NUR2251 , NUR2253L , NUR2802 , NUR2803L . The focus of this course is critical and emergency care. Concepts include the application of previously learned skills and those required to safely care for patients in critical and/or emergent situations. The use of the nursing process provides a framework for student learning and encourages critical thinking. Lab skills learned in previous courses will be reviewed, and simulation will be used to reinforce classroom teaching. Clinical experience in the corequisite NUR2253L will provide opportunities for the student to apply knowledge in the acute and critical care setting. Lab: 3 hours. Does not count toward A.A. degree.
