Dental Hygiene, A.S. (2101)



Program Purpose:
To prepare students for the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and for licensure as registered dental hygienists. To prepare students to safely and effectively perform all the functions that are legal for dental hygienists to perform in Florida.

This program is accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Program Length:
88 credit hours

Admission Requirements:
Applicants to the Dental Hygiene program must complete all admission requirements to the College and must complete the program’s required prerequisite courses with a minimum unrounded GPA of 2.2 and a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5.

Program Application:
The Dental Hygiene program begins in the Fall semester and is a limited-access program. Applicants must submit both a general TCC application (www.tcc.fl.edu/apply) and a separate healthcare program application by the published deadline. Applicants may access the healthcare application here.
