CGS1000 Introduction to Computer Technology

3 credit hour(s)
Prerequisite(s): documented exemption, appropriate placement test scores or completion of developmental education reading.
The course is aimed at those considering a career in IT and computer-related fields. This class is designed to help students acquire the knowledge and skills to set up and use a computer securely and keep it in good working order as well as provide informal support for simple computer networks. The course will also assist in preparation of the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification exam as well as for future IT certification exams. Contact: 3 hours.
