ASC1560 Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)

3 credit hour(s)
This course will be a survey of Unmanned Aerial Systems, vehicles, and operations, with an emphasis on military and commercial application. The course will cover UAS history, growth and future applications as well as introduce the students to remote sensing and radio control/data link concepts. It will provide a solid understanding of unmanned aerial systems’ design, development, and deployment. Students will be introduced to current and historical UAS platforms and sensors as well as concentrating on issues unique to unmanned/remotely piloted aviation. Contact: 3 hours.
