Prerequisite(s): documented exemption, appropriate placement test scores, or completion of developmental education reading, writing and mathematics.
Corequisite(s): optional lab: CHM1020L .
Covers the basic concepts of chemistry, with emphasis on its impact on modern society, including issues regarding energy, consumer products and health. This course is not designed to prepare students for CHM1032 or CHM1045 . It cannot be used to satisfy degree requirements by students who already have credit for CHM1032 or CHM1045 . Lecture: 3 hours.
