Prerequisite(s): documented exemption, appropriate placement scores, or completion of developmental education reading and writing.
A survey of the basic principles of physics including forces and motion, energy and momentum, electricity and magnetism, and light. Intended for the non-scientist; students should have taken Algebra 2 or higher in high school. Cannot be used to satisfy degree requirements by students who already have credit in PHY1053 or PHY2048 . (Global Gateway Program) Lecture: 3 hours.
